This is for the ones who doesn't want to pay a fortune on getting their nails done or over the top nails yet, want their nails to match a formal occasion like proms, weddings etc. This is what I've come up with:
What you'll need:
A light colour nail polish
A darker colour nail polish
Base and top coat nail polish
Nail pearls
So let's start! Here is my nail without any polish on:
1. Add a layer of base coat to prevent the polish on staining your nails.
2. Add a layer or 2 of the light nail polish as a base.
3. Using the darker nail polish, draw a curve and fill it in. Doesn't have to be very neat.
4. Add a layer of top coat nail poish then carefully add the pearls on the curve line.
5. Add layer of top coat on.
This is what it looks like. Not sure why I've done the middle finger first.
Do the rest of your fingers than voila! Experiment with the the curves, the location, nail coverage etc.
You could always add a floral design in white or a lighter colour over the base or use nail stickers.
Products I used:
Maybelline Salon Manicure Ultra Strong 3 in 1
Dior Addict Vernis in Mauve Glow 290
Miss Sporty Lasting Colour in 19
Pearl wheel set
EDIT:
Another example of it is:
Used a light peach, nude, sheer base and the mauve colour.

[TUTORIAL] Flower Hair Bun/No Heat Curling
Doing a tutorial on this hair style I did a over a month ago as this is requested a lot and haven't really had the chance to do it. It's taken me a while because of the picture and the explanations. Was difficult. I've not seen anyone do it this way before so guess I'm the first!
This is the end look:
For more pictures:
http://yuk-lui.blogspot.com/2011/07/hotd-flower-bun.html
Hopefully you understand this! Sorry if you don't. Taking pictures was hard so please understand that they're not the best.
1. Tie hair up into a ponytail.
2. On the last tie, don't fully pull the hair through. Pull it through a little bit so it can make a small loop.
So you get something like this:
3. Feed your thumb and forefinger through a single tie strand rather than the whole tie.
4. Using your other hand, grab the rest of the hair and put it securely between the thumb and forefinger.
5. Pull it through so you get a loop. You can adjust how big or small the loop is depending on how much you pull through but having a small loop is more secure and sturdy compared to a large one.
6. Repeat steps 3-5 for the rest of your hair. If there is a little bit that cannot be fed through, use a bobby pin to pin it down on your head.
7. Lightly spray with hairspray. You can mess around with it if you want a more messier look. Can always add a hair decoration.
Hope that helps! I've also done an illustration to explain the tutorial and the threading fingers, pull hair etc (Click image to enlarge):
If you leave the hair in the flower bun overnight or for a few hours then you'll get this type of curl:
So this is kind of like a 2 in 1 tutorial. Hope this post is ok! Tried doing a video but it failed.

[VIDEO] 365 Layers of Make Up
Saw this video and I was like ew due to amount of layers applied and what it looks like.
From this:
To this:
"Mission Statement: We wanted to apply 365 layers of makeup in one day to see how much is needed to go from a natural look to an outrageous one.
Production time: It was a relaxed shoot but it took us nearly nine hours non-stop to apply all the layers to Hannelore’s face.
Magic ingredients: Seven bottles of Foundation S103; two bottles of Creamy Eyes E107; three Milky Lips L205 pens; and two bottles of Blush S301. All together 228.40ml of makeup.
Lunch menu: Hannelore was fixed between panels for the whole shoot, so everything she ate or drank came from a straw: juice, and a granola and yogurt mix. I think she had sushi on her train back to Brussels.
Soundtrack: No music on our shoots! Unless we do a music video and the artists need to lip-sync. But we don't like lip-syncing, so that never happens in our videos. Music distracts.
Prep work: We tested a 100-layer session a few days before on our intern, who is a man. We wanted to make sure that this amount of makeup wouldn't kill a person. It didn't kill our intern so we trusted everything would be fine on Hannelore.
Crisis averted: There was always the “we've run out of makeup” stress. But Ellis Faas has her office right around the corner so we could call and get more [Foundation] S103.
Souvenirs: We saved the white construction for Hannelore's face, so if we plan to do a “two years of makeup” we already have the perfect face frame. "

[REVIEW] Imju Dejavu Fiberwig Extra Long Mascara
Finally writing the review for this mascara which a lot of you have been waiting for. Purchased this last month for around £10 from eBay and since it was shipped from Hong Kong, it arrived quick! Around a week if I remember. There's a lot of hype about this as this is the hottest and top selling mascara claiming to have false lash effects! Shall we see about that?
Here, you can see the fibres that helps gives the false lash effect on the brush:
The lastest Fiberwig extra long mascara has a curved brush not straight.
First of all, Before pictures of my naked eye. Please ignore my eyebrows. I need to pluck them and shape them. From above:

Lashes aren't visible and aren't long.
After. One coat of the fiberwig mascara:

Review: I'm slightly disappointed with this mascara! With all the hype about it, I thought it'd suit me very well since I love long lashes. My natural eyelashes are short and not noticeable. It did lengthen but only if you apply more than one coat of mascara on. The first coat doesn't lengthen much. This mascara is easily buildable which means more length as each lash is covered with a coat of fibre, but I found that it started to clump. As you can see from the after pictures, it did make my lashes slightly more noticeable and lengthened but clumped with the increasing amount of coats. I didn't really like the way it looked because the fibres at the end of my eyelashes became dislodged and wasn't straight to blend in with my lashes. The formula does dry quick and the application is easy. From far, you can't really see my lashes. Disappointed. Maybe I don't have the patience to keep applying to lengthen my lashes.
There is no volumising factor. It just darkened my lashes to make it noticeable after a few coats, never the first. So stay away from this mascara if you want volume. This isn't the one for you. Can't remember if this claimed that it'll curl the lashes but I don't think it does. I did curl my lashes before applying the mascara but using this mascara kind of un-curled part of my lashes. So you would need to re-curl when you finished applying.
On the plus side, it did last all day. Didn't have any panda eyes and no flakes below my eye. I had oily eyelids and this didn't budge one bit. That's the best thing about the mascara. It's not waterproof, just smudgeproof. A little bit of warm water on a cotton pad would remove it. Gently wipe it over it a few times and the fibres would detach itself from your eyelashes easily.
Don't think I would purchase this again unless I keep using it more. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Wish it'd lengthen more for me and had a volumising effect then I'd give it a better overall rating. Will keep using it until it runs out, no need to waste it. For £10, it is a bit pricey. This can be more expensive depending on where you purchase it as it is imported from Japan. This is best for people who wants a natural look with added length. If you want volume, keep looking for something else and stay away from this.
Feels like I'm missing something from this review. :/ I'll probably add more if i think of it.
