[TUTORIAL] DIY Woven Chain Bracelet

Credits to http://honestlywtf.com/diy/diy-woven-chain-bracelet

I saw this tutorial and would want to share it with you guys! Such an amazing idea. Would you make one? I would! :)

You’ll need a curb link bracelet, embroidery thread, two bobby pins and a pair of scissors.

Cut 2 sets of 15 strands of embroidery thread, with each strand measuring four times the length of the bracelet. Knot the all the threads at the top, leaving about 2 inches of slack. Sandwich each set between a bobby pin – this will help you easily weave the threads through the links of the bracelet. Lay the threads to the left of the bracelet. Pull the first color (coral) from under the first link and over the top of the left side. (Click images to enlarge)

Lay the second color (blue) over the first color (coral). Pull the second color (blue) from under the same link and over the top left again. Repeat the steps, moving onto a new link: put the first color (coral) on top of the second color (blue) and pull it out from under the 2nd link and over the top left. Lay the second color (blue) on top of the first color (peach) and pull it out from under the 2nd link and over the top left again. Because the links of this particular bracelet are large, I wove the threads through twice on each link.

Repeat the steps until you reach the end of the bracelet. Finish it with a knot and trim the ends.

Review: Going to review these two together as I have the same thoughts with both of them. With this type of lenses, I do love the dreamy effect it has while its worn. Quite disappointed with the colour. Wasn't as noticeable as people may think that its black lenses especially with the grey ones. They're only noticeable with flash, however it depends on the distance on where u look at it. Since the brown is lighter than my natural eye colour, it does slightly blend in when there isn't flash.

Brown and grey are more towards the natural eye colours and does have a distinctive black ring for enlargement. These are natural yet not natural. They're natural due to the colour choice also due to the simple design. These do look unnatural due to the enlargement.

When I first inserted these, they wern't comfortable. Took them out straight away and let them soak for another 5 minutes. I checked that they were the right way. Inserted them again and there was still a slight discomfort. Think this maybe due to me not wearing lenses for many weeks therefore not use to it. Once the discomfort had gone after inserting and taking them out constantly, they were ok in comfort. Wasn't the most comfortable lenses. Eyes started drying at around 4 hours So took them out straight away.

Overall, I was disappointed with these lenses since I loved the DM23 Pink ones. May give these a try again in the future I think.

Review: The colours are so pretty and they do shimmer! They are not the pigmented type. The brown and gold can be worn during the day and black is best for night. These are awesome over eyeshadow, especially matte, just to add that extra little sparkle. If a primer was added, then this on top then the colour would boost a bit more.

I only worn this on a night out just to add a bit of sparkle to my eyes. Using this above a base whether the base is primer or eyeshadow, these do last long! As without, the lasting is ok especially with my oily eyelids. The shimmers are finely milled. I believe its more fine than the barry m dazzle dust therefore making it more harder to handle. Brush and fingers would be best. To get more of the product, wet the brush or finger slightly to grab more of the product. Just make sure it isn't really wet. For the price, which also includes eyeliners, it's worth it! Overall, I do like it due to its flexibility however I do wish they we're more pigmented.

Review: Pigmented and soft eye pencils. Pigmented from one stroke. All three are a lovely colour with matte and metallic eyeliners. These contain enough wax to prevent the skin pulling while applying. These have ok lasting power. They do last for around 5 hours then smudge due to my oily eyelids. A bit of primer before hand will help a bit more. These don't smudge as much in water. I had wet it and after one swipe, most of the colout is still there. After constant rubbing, the colour is still there but less pigmented. Even with vigorious rubbing, it's still there. Amazing I know. Price wise, these are worth it even though I've received it as a christmas present, yet I've researched this.
