[REVIEW + SWATCHES] GOSH, Maybe Because I'm Worth It, Maybe It's Maybelline

Right. Tried to combine 3 slogans together. Not sure what's GOSH's slogan.
GOSH.
Maybe she's born with it. Maybe it's Maybelline. - Maybelline
Because I'm worth it. - L'Oreal.

Review:  I bought this foundation primer as I left my other one at home and forgot to bring it back to university. I had the other version which was GOSH Velvet Touch Primer. It was transparent while this one is an apricot colour. I loved the other one and thought I'd purchase this instead so I'd have both versions when I get back home. As compared to the transparent primer, this one is an anti-wrinkle effect while the other one is just a normal primer.

This primer contains Matrixyl 3000 which is an anti ageing ingredient, stating that it boosts collagen production, even skin tone, restore clarity, reduce the appearance of fine lines and increase elasticity. It also states that it fills in deep pores and fine lines and mattifies the skin for a silky soft surface.

A small amount is needed and it applies well. This makes my face so smooth and I love the feel of it. It does mattify my face and still matiffies it throughout the day when I apply foundation afterwards. I only need to apply powder once throughout the day. Since it made my skin so smooth, it made the foundation application so much easier and have to use less foundation. To be honest, I'm not sure whether the Matrixyl 3000 works or not but I guess it's a bonus for having it.

I haven't broke out from it which is good as I remember a fellow blogger has tried it and made her broke out. This is suitable for all skin types and will not dry the skin out. Even suitable for sensitive skin as it is preservative and perfume free. My foundation lasted longer with this primer and is hygienic as it is a pump application and you can control the amount you want. Some people may say that it feels a little greasy when applying it but a few minutes later, your face will be the perfect canvas. I'm not sure the evening of the skin as I don't really have uneven skin tone. For £15, i think it's a little expensive but the bottle will last ages. I'm no where near half way with the other GOSH primer. I would purchase the primer again.

Review:  Received a sample from Maybelline. This was when they were promoting the foundation and were giving samples away for free from their website and decided to try it out. From the sample, it states a lot of things of what this foundation is meant to do. I can't really rate this foundation as much because it was a sample and when I tried this, I removed it straight away. The reason being is that it dried my skin so much and had emphasised it. I was ok to apply and in the end, after about half an hour of wear, it broke me out the next day. I would say this is a medium coverage. You can still see my spots but it's not as visible. The foundation has a yellow undertone which is great but it made me look orange and cakey. Building up maybe a problem. Only a little bit is needed. Glad I tried a sample before I purchased it. I wouldn't buy this and doubt this foundation will last 24 hours.

Review:  Also received a sample of this foundation from their website when they were promoting it. I tried mousse foundation before and hated it and decided to try this a go. After an hour, this made my face become an oil slick and it transferred. This looked really cakey and so white. And also emphasised the dry patches around the spots. This doesn't reduce the appearance of fine lines and pores. This isn't buildable and will look cakey. Was hard to blend and looked uneven. The coverage is also medium but its more like a light-medium. I think the only positive is that it does actually a peachy soft feel after it has been applied. I will not purchase this foundation as it doesn't live up to what it says. This also broke me out.

[ETC + GIVEAWAY] Current Thoughts/Feelings and Giveaway Update

Depression and Stress. The two feelings that I'm going through this exam period. All together, I have 7 exams, already done one and now got 6 left. 5 of these exams are what I think are going to be the hardest ones yet. These 5 exams are toward the end of the exam period, starting this Friday and last exam is 3rd June. It is going to be the worst 3 weeks of my life.

The stress can be seen as my skin has broke out sooooo much and also because of late night studying. To be honest, I've never felt depressed during an exam period, this is a first. I think it's the thought of the degree. I need to pass first year to get into the second year otherwise I'd get kicked out from University (only when I don't pass the resits). I can also feel the pressure which isn't good.

Everyone says that you need 40% overall in the module to pass. 40% doesn't sound a lot but it's not as easy as it looks. Also, you need 100/120 credits to pass the year. That's what scares me. I deactivated Facebook at the moment so I can properly concentrate more. I will reactivate it soon, maybe after my exams are over. I'm still active on Twitter.

I have cried many times while studying. I want all of this to be over...

I think everyone's been feeling stressed due to exams. Are exams stressing you out too?

[ETC] Haters...What are your thoughts?

I was wondering why all of these haters are targeting me especially Formspring. Above are a few. Are they expecting the comments to hurt me so much that I'll end up committing suicide or something? I wonder if they know what this is called CYBER BULLYING.

I know that everyone has haters but is there a point to express their hatred? Do they get some kind of special thrill? What are their motives? Will they get further in life?

I don't get upset or hurt, I just laugh at them and reply in the same manner as they talked to me.

I don't mind criticism as it'll help me etc.

Dear Haters,
Please do your research before saying any of this shit as there is a 99.99999% that you personally do not know me and what u see in pictures is what you assume I'm like that. Most of the pictures are from night outs/clubbing therefore I wear just a little bit more.
The chances of you seeing me in person is zero so you assume I wear shit loads of makeup especially from the pictures etc. I do this beauty blog as a hobby, something to keep me occupied whenever I get bored.
In person, I hardly wear makeup and am not ashamed of my own natural looks. This means I do go out in public without makeup quite a lot as I am a lazy person. Even if I do wear makeup during the day, it's just eyeliner and false lashes and lip balm.
Was you trying to make me upset by saying shit through formspring etc?
SO, TO YOU HATERS, YOUR PATHETIC AND GET A LIFE!!!

What have ever done to them to make them hate me? :/
What are your thoughts about haters?
I get a lot of questions about posting a picture of me without makeup. Why are people so curious about it? Are they expecting a very big difference etc? I know I did say that I'm not ashamed of my natural looks and I seriously am not ashamed. People have stated that there isn't a big difference and that I don't wear a lot of makeup.
If they keep asking this, does this mean I'm pressured into doing a post on me makeup less?

[EOTD + FOTD + OOTD + HAUL + SWATCH] Warning: Image Heavy

Hey guys! Sorry for the lack of updates for over a week. As some of you know especially those who follow my twitter, I have exams which started today until 3rd June. Also I've been revising sooooo hard to pass first year of University. So much pressure and stress.

To make up for the lack of updates, I've taken pictures during the week and post them on this one post. :)

EOTD (03.05.2010):

I finally had the chance to use the Maybelline Eye Studio Quad in Give Me Gold. Used the white to highlight and as a base, yellow from the inner eye to the middle, coppery orange from the outer to middle and blend. Brown is used on the crease and to line my lower lashes.

Products Used:
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer
Maybelline Eye Studio Quad in Give Me Gold
GOSH Extreme Art Eyeliner in 07 Black
False Eyelashes

FOTD (05.05.2010):

Products Used:
Face:
Rimmel Stay Matte Powder in Transparent
Benefit Blush in Thrrrob

Eyes:
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in 15 Graphite Shimmer Ink
Fraulein38 88 Eyeshadow Shimmer Palette

Lips:
Vaseline

OOTD (07.05.2010):

Trucker cap
Black vest top
White vest top with face imprint design
3/4 sleeved jacket
Shorts
Knee high socks

Haul:

Fraulein38 88 Eyeshadow Shimmer Palette
Boots Expert Leave in Thickening Conditioner
Lee Stafford Hair Growth Treatment
GOSH Velvet Touch Foundation Primer Apricot
Rimmel Moisture Renew Lipstick in 700 Nude Delight

Swatch:

Compared to Revlon Matte Lipstick in Nude Attitude:
Left: Rimmel, Right:Revlon
Rimmel is more of a peachy nude which is absolutely gorgeous when applied on while Revlon is a lighter version of rimmel in terms of colour and kind of washes me out when applied.

About the giveaway, I've ordered things and hopefully they'll be here soon. So keep a lookout for my 500 followers giveaway, eventhough I've just slightly passed 500. xD
