[TUTORIAL] Basic Smokey Eye

Products used:
False eyelashes
Urban Decay Primer
Urban Decay 27/7 Glide on Eye Pencil in Yeyo
GOSH Extreme Art Eyeliner in 07 (Black)
Shiseido Maquillage Eyes Creater 3D in BR 363
Beautyuk Eyeshadow Collection

Shiseido Maquillage in BR 363 Colours
1 - A glittery cream/white colour
2 - Shimmer copper brown
3 - Shimmer Dark brown
4 - Shimmer white
5 - Dark brown with a hint of green

The arrow points to the colour I'm going to use form this palette. It's a shimmer black.

Tutorial:

1. Pre makeup - foundation, concealer etc.

2. Prime the eyes using an eyeshadow primer.

3. Using the Shiseido Maquillage Eyes Creater 3D and use the tutorial instructions which has been provided and is printed on the packaging.
 Do steps 1, 2 and 3.

The image above shows the result and is a guide to how I had done steps 1, 2, and 3.

4. Use the black eyeshadow over eyelid and above is a guide to how far up from the eyelashes. And blend!

5. Line the top eyelid.

6. Either:
Curl lashes, apply mascara (and add false eyelashes) or
Curl lashes and use false eyelashes

7. Since I thought that the colour wasn't dark enough, I applied dark brown and black eyeshadow on my eyelid and BLEND upwards. (you don't have to do this unless the colour wasn't dark enough for your liking. MAKE SURE YOU BLEND).

8. Apply eyeliner on the top eyelid and the inner corner of the eye.

9. Using eyeliner, line the bottom eyelid, from the outer corner to half way.

10. Apply dark brown eyeshadow over the eyeliner (used number 5 on the Shiseido Maquillage Eyes Creater 3D)

11. Apply white eyeliner from the inner corner to the middle.

End Result: I have used different false eyelashes in the tutorial due to not having the same pair of falsies as in the picture.

Givenchy Prismissime Eyes in #53 (£34)
NYX Round Lipstick in Harmonica (around $4)
NYX Round Lipstick in Jupiter (around $4)

Review: This isn't one of the best lipstick, maybe because it was the colour I have chosen. To be honest, there's not much difference in the before and after. The only difference is that it gives a subtle shimmer and it is the exact same colour as my lips! I was hoping for a nice light pink. On the box, it says "Contains Hydro-Wrap Vitalizing DE, a lasting moisturizer." I would say it does have moisturizing features as my lips are less dry. I can't really rate whether it lasts long as it matches my natural lip colour and the price, is fair but expensive plus its a high brand. Not sure whether to purchase this again but in different colours.

Wow, I've got over 100 followers now. xD Thanks you guys! I promise to improve. Also, I was thinking of doing my first ever giveaway. This might be soon, depending if I have time these days. Also need to decide what to give away. =P

[SWATCHES] Beauty and the Geek

Random title. Hehe.

I recently bought eyeshadow online. Just wanted black but bought this because it was cheap and thought I would try it out as I always see beautyuk in Superdrug. Ended up purchasing the set rather than the single black eyeshadow.

Two of the eyeshadows have cracked when I recieved it. =[ But i have read online that you can fix that with alcohol. I will have to try it myself.

Swatch (Dry):

Swatch (Wet):

From the swatches, the colours are more intense when applied wet but doesn't look even. You can hardly see the white and light grey but those would be best for the base. Haven't really used these yet. Probably on Friday

----------------------------------------------------

Also bought geek glasses! No lenses though. Going to use them for the bar crawl which is happening on the 12th February! :) Computer Science bar crawl. Bet no one had thought of dressing up as a geek! ;P

[REVIEW + SWATCH] Lioele Water Drop BB Cream

If you want me to review products I've used in tutorials, FOTD etc, comment me the product and I'll be happy to do a review on it! :)

On the front it says:
"It is an exclusive moisturizing BB cream which makes your skin moist since waterdrop, which is generated when you apply to skin, i well absorbed into your skin."

Review: This was my first BB cream I puchased. This was bought from Colormix in Hong Kong. When I first used this, I didn't like this as I have combination/oily skin and I would say that this is more suitable for dry/sensitve skin. I first wore this in Hong Kong and the BB cream would just disappear within a few hours due to the very hot, humid weather (summer weather) and haven't used it since then.

Thought I would try again now since I'm in the UK. From the before and after, it looks like it has good coverage (and also makes me look paler) but in real life, the coverage is ok since it doesn't really cover spots very well and it does even my skin tone and the redness is gone. My undereye circles are still noticeable. Since I have combination/oily skin, I found that this BB cream doesn’t really last long and doesn’t control oil well. To prevent oil showing up, I use transparent powder over it.

The positives is that it is easy to blend and is absorbed quickly. If you want coverage, I wouldn't recommend this. This is more like a tinted moisteriser thana foundation. It has a yellow undertone so it would match most yellow undertone skins. It has SPF 27 which is really good! So you are hydrated and protected from the sun!

I prefer foundations to have good coverage and good staying power as well as good oil control. Don't think I'll be using this again.

From the previous post, I said that I've been asked to model. I've read the comments you guys had wrote saying be careful etc. Thank you guys for your concern. :) My friend worked with this agency before so don't need to worry about me! ^^

Sorry for the lack of updates and I did mention that I would do a tutorial. I've been busy with University studies. If you do study Computer Science like me, then you have no social life! Jokes! But you do get a lot of work. =[ Hopefully the tutorial will be soon, I'll do it next time I go out and when I get my black eyeshadow.

Someone should ban me from online shopping. Been purchasing makeup and hopefully they should arrive soon! :)

[REVIEW] Sherbet Violet and Modelling

Warning: Heavy Images and long post!
I have recieved my circle lenses in the post yesterday and immediately, opened the packaging and sterilise the contacts so I could wear them today!

Remember when I did my first circle lense review and said that I puchased Luna King Violet, well I ended up getting Sherbet Violet instead. Recieved an email from the store a few days after I have purchased them:
"> Hello,
>
> We got your payment already.
> Now we are packing your goods for you.
> Due to Luna King Violet power -0.50 is out of stock
> Do you want NEO Sunflower Violet -0.50? (refund some money to you)
> Or get Luna King Violet 0.00 (no power) instead.
>
> Waiting for your kindly request.

> Warmest Regards,

The service is lovely and sent me a lovely email and even recommended a lense when the one I wanted wasn't in stock anymore. But I thought I'll purchase Sherbet Violet as the perscription I needed was in stock and the same price as the Luna King. I didn't fancy Neo lenses.

They email you the current status of your order and my order was shipped on the 7th January and recieved it on 12th January. Very fast shipping to the UK as it was sent from Thailand if I'm correct. The prices are fair and would recommend this shop:
Lovely service...Fair prices...Protective packaging...Fast Shipping (Depending on location but promises it will arrive within 2 weeks)

The picture above is the package I recieved. I admit, it's securely wrapped safely, sellotaped everywhere and string! A big box for one pair of lenses including a free case! Took a while to open. Lol. Couldn't find scissors anywhere. ><"

When I have finally opened the package, the contents are fully protected with bubble wrap. Completely wrapped! Again, it took me a while to open!
A cute piggy contacts case free with lenses! It also matches the colour of my lenses. xD

Review: These are my very first violet lenses purchased. I've always wanted the colour to be noticeable in the daylight and try different brands other than Geo. The colour is a noticeable violet. Not as vibrant as I would have thought but still noticeable! It's more like a medium light violet. These lenses are 14.5mm in diameter but gives a 17.0mm effect. It is absolutely comfortable! I have worn these for 12 hours! Doesn't dry my eyes up but everyone's experience is different. When I saw the design on the internet, I thought it was OK, but liking it now. :) I would still purchase from this series. Second favourite lense after the Geo Nudy Blue xD

OMG, when I finished the lecture today, this woman came upto me while in starbucks (University has its own starbucks =P) and asked me to model. Eeeeek, of course I said yes. She also asked my friends too. xD As well as modelling, I got free entry to nightclubs for a whole year as well as 8 admission tickets to go paintballing. I can't imagine myself going paintballing.
The image above shows the price of the whole modelling and what is included. The price came upto £500 and I get it free. So excited!
What is included:
Welcome and Consultation
Complimentary drinks available throught the whole shoot
Intensive moisturising treatment
Professional haircut
Blow dry and style
Facial cleanse, tone, moisturise and professional make-up applied
Profession photoshoot
Private viewing session
Complimentary A4 print

I have decided that I would do this shoot during the Easter break as I currently have a lot of work from University. =(. So excited. xD

The tutorial I was going to do, may be a while because I forgot my black eyeshadow. Going to purchase a new one soon.
